Ty Jernstedt is the owner of Remix Coaching

Ty Jernstedt

I am originally from the U.S. and now call Amsterdam home. After graduating from Duke University – go Blue Devils! – in 1994, I received my MBA and worked in Japan.  My passion for learning about new cultures led me to live in Australia, Hong Kong, and Germany and I’ve worked across Asia, Europe, and the United States.

For 10 years, I worked in various areas of marketing and communications with such clients as Nike, McDonald’s, Coca-Cola, and Disney. In 2003, I changed my career path to coaching and then expanded further into leadership development, inclusion and diversity, culture change, and employee engagement.

I worked in Leadership Development for Nike and was then the Global D&I Director for 7 years at their EHQ. I also worked for Zalando as the Head of their Development Studio. While there, I was proud to initiate their I&D strategy and journey to become a more inclusive organization. Since early 2018, I have been providing integrated solutions to my clients to remix their employee experience so that it can better serve their people and business needs. 

I am also proud to have served on the Management Board of Polaris. This organization stands for inclusion and gender equality in The Netherlands, and support their various initiatives to serve the development and networking needs of our members.
